Abstract

On December 26, 2003, a severe earthquake occurred close to the city of Bam in Kerman Province, Iran, causing extensive destruction and loss of life. Within just two days, a study was conducted to demonstrate the application of satellite imagery in post-disaster and crisis management. The results are outlined here.
