A heat transfer model of micro direct methanol fuel cell(μDMFC) is built based on heat transfer mechanisms in this paper. The influence of methanol flow velocity and packaging material on heat transfer is studied by analyzing primary mechanisms of heat dissipation. The researches demonstrate that the quantity of heat that is taken away by methanol solution can be reduced by slowing down the methanol flow velocity, and a thick package made by materials with small heat transfer coefficient can decrease the convection and the radiation of heat dissipation.
