OS TEMPOS DA INDEPENDÊNCIA: ENTRE A HISTÓRIA DISCIPLINAR E A HISTÓRIA COMO SERVIÇO

Abstract

Resumo Este ensaio se propõe a pensar o arco temporal que vincula o evento da Independência com a disciplina histórica, em seus diferentes momentos. A questão central que se busca explorar é o emergente conflito entre duas modalidades distintas de representação histórica, uma herdada do horizonte conceitual da Independência, outra formulada dentro de uma nova rede semântica socioeconômica. Por meio da análise de um caso específico, representado pela empresa Brasil Paralelo, busca-se uma compreensão do modo de funcionamento dessa nova modalidade de representação histórica, denominada aqui de “história como serviço”.Abstract This essay analyzes the temporal arc that links the Independence of Brazil with the History field in its different moments. The central issue to be explored is the emerging conflict between two distinct forms of historical representation, one inherited from the conceptual horizon of Independence, the other formulated within a new socio-economic semantic network. By analyzing the specific case of the company Brasil Paralelo, we verify how this new type of historical representation works, here called “history-as-0a-service”.
