Abstract

Motivation helps to determine goals; volition supports management and execution of goals. The present research titled: motivation and improving learning speaking among high school students in language institutions, investigated the role of motivation on language skills and also it investigated the differences of males and females in motivation. The research instrument in the present study is standard questionnaire by Hermes and data were analyzed by SPSS software. The findings of the present research indicated that there is a meaningful relationship between motivation and speaking performance, also the motivation among males and females is different.
