O ensino de física nas séries iniciais do Ensino Fundamental na Rede Municipal de Ensino do Recife segundo os seus docentes

Abstract

This paper investigates how is the physics teaching in the forth and fifth years of elementary school in the Rede Municipal de Ensino do Recife. To realize it we have 145 questionnaires answered by teachers of initial grade of this network, spread throughout the city. These questionnaires showed that there is a real political choice of textbook science; that the weekly waived for the subject Science is mostly of two hours and the majority of teachers believed to be sufficient; the material most used to preparation of the lesson is the textbook, but others are used as magazines, music, etc.; more than half of teachers, although considering the Physics relevant to their students, do not like to approach it in class and they feel insecure to do it; the subjects more worked of Physics are electromagnetism, energy and thermal physics and presents some suggestions for teachers to improve Science teaching. © Sociedade Brasileira de Física.
