Strategi Pengembangan Kelembagaan Kelompok Tani Pada Usahatani Jagung Hibrida di Kecamatan Wonosari Kabupaten Boalemo

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the characteristics of farmer groups in Wonosari Subdistrict and (2) formulate the strategies used in the institutional development of farmer groups in hybrid corn farming in Wonosari Subdistrict. This study was then conducted from August to October 2023. The method of the study employed a qualitative approach with a survey. The findings are as follows: based on the characteristics of farmer groups, the most dominant age group is 40-47 years, with a frequency level of 11 people and a percentage level of 27,50%. Furthermore, SWOT analysis results show that the strategy used is in the SO quadrant of 2,68 and 2,15, which are determined as aggressive. There is a need for a straightforward task division in managing farmer groups and training for farmer group officials to carry out their duties and functions effectively. The strategy used is an Aggressive strategy, utilizing existing strengths to optimize opportunities to the fullest extent. Moreover, the farmer groups have good administrative skills, which can be a strength in leveraging opportunities to obtain government assistance and utilizing opportunities such as government support and policies in institutional development. It is hoped that farmer groups can grow and develop effectively with various forms of support.
