Abstract

The text reviews the patrimonial protection figures of Padrón, a historic city linked to the Camino de Santiago and a few kilometers from Santiago de Compostela, trying to reflect on its suitability and validity. From these figures and the cultural assets they protect, we design a tourist itinerary that unites monumentality, landscape and identity to achieve a global tourism product that makes Padrón a cultural tourism destination with its own entity, enriching the visitor’s experience and involving the local population.
