Effects of pollutants on freshwater organisms

Abstract

This review covers papers that reported on effects to freshwa- ter aquatic organisms from a wide variety of pollutant forms, including individual complex chemicals and metals. The review is organized by pollutant category and major receptor. The text in each category presents a summary of organisms studied, the type of effects observed, and forms of pollutants as key focal points. Readers are encouraged to refer to the more complete reference listing for additional literature that may not be spe- cifically mentioned in the text.
