Abstract

A novel type of transparent cellulose plate was obtained by the formation of hydrogen bonds between the particles of active fine-powdered amorphous cellulose with a small amount of water during hot-press treatment. Hydrogen bonds were formed at 3-6 wt% water content and 120-150 °C hot pressing.
