Abstract

Neutron spectra from Cl37(p,n)Ar37 at Ep=120 MeV are measured in the angular range 0°-30°. Neutron groups characterized with L=0 transfer are obtained up to approximately 12-MeV excitation energy in Ar37. From the observed 0°cross section the Gamow-Teller strengths for Cl37'Ar37 transitions are obtained which are directly related to neutrino absorption by Cl37. The cross section for B8 solar neutrinos incident on Cl37 is reported. © 1981 The American Physical Society.
