Abstract

This paper retraces the gradual constitution of the anti-gender politics fabricated by the Vatican and its allies in the context of the United Nations conferences of the 1990s and early 2000s. It also briefly examines the role played by Latin America in the geopolitical dynamics that, at that time, evolved around gender and sexuality matters.
