Abstract
The article focuses on the use of surveys to teach principles of leadership to university graduates of the U.S. It discusses the meaning and all the inclusive types that define leadership and reasons that only textual knowledge is not enough to teach the students leadership skills. It mentions that using only a single leadership approach can not work effectively in modern world students and they should be taught several approaches using the survey framework so that they can use it according to the situation. It mentions various techniques used in teaching leadership such as Full Range Model of Leadership and crisis leadership. It also reflects that the modern environment in which leaders work is complex, dynamic, and ambiguous.
