Adopsi Inovasi Padi Organik Berbasis Kemitraan di Desa Banyuputih Kidul Kecamatan Jatiroto Kabupaten Lumajang

Abstract

The characteristics of farmers are a success factor in the process of adopting innovative organic-based rice in farmer groups in Banyuputih Kidul Village, Jatiroto District. However, not all farmers have the same characteristics, so the need for coaching and mentoring by farmers in increasing the adoption of innovative organic rice-based partnerships. The purpose of this study is to (1) determine the level of adoption of partnership-based organic rice innovation, (2) to find out the relationship between farmer characteristics in the adoption of partnership-based organic rice innovation. The location of this study was conducted in Banyuputih Kidul Village, Jatiroto District, Lumajang Regency. This research uses quantitative descriptive method with a total sample of 99 respondents. The results of this study indicate (1) the adoption of partnership-based organic rice innovation is more dominant at the level of adoption of innovative stages of implementation, as many as 47 respondents from a total of 99 respondents. (2) Factors related to the adoption of organic rice innovation based on partnerships are external factors from the characteristics of farmers, namely agricultural extension (intensity of counseling, communication counseling and field studies). The conclusion of this study shows that the higher the intensity of agricultural extension activities carried out, the level of adoption of innovation based on organic rice partnership will increase significantly.
