Abstract

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Activity Record (ACTRE) has been used to document daily activities in patients with musculoskeletal disorders. Quantification of the amount of time spent resting and physically active, the intensity of pain and fatigue associated with patterns of activities, and motivational considerations are possible with the ACTRE. Scoring has been streamlined to permit identification of the amount of pain, fatigue, and motivational factors as they relate to activity patterns (e.g., rest and physical activity). The ACTRE provides a performance‐based, quantifiable measure of daily activity. Copyright © 1992 American College of Rheumatology
