Diffusional protein transport within the nucleus: A message in the medium

Abstract

The movement of proteins within the nucleus can occur by diffusion, with surprisingly extensive and rapid turnover occurring in high-affinity intranuclear compartments. The transport of the proteins so far investigated does not seem to be impeded by structural elements within the interchromatin space.
