Abstract

Neutrophils are important effector cells during inflammatory responses. Further, their many functions, controlled by cell surface receptors and intracellular signalling pathways, provide multiple opportunities for modulating unwanted responses. Potential mediators and drugs to achieve these ends are under development and will likely provide new insights into neutrophil biology. © The Author 2004.
