Abstract

Every individual cannot stand alone, but there is always something that drives him and is directed towards a goal he wants to achieve. The goals and driving factors may or may not be realized by the individual, concrete or abstract. The same is true in the education process, where a student comes to school with different goals or motivations. A person's goal in pursuing education is very important because it can be a measure of whether or not the motivation they have is strong in achieving that goal. This PKM aims to explore and increase student motivation based on learning background. This PKM uses the service learning method with the object being students of grades 10 and 11 at SMAN 1 Langkaplancar. The results of PKM show 2 categories of students based on their learning motivation: students who are motivated to broaden their knowledge and students who come to school only for the demands of learning and getting a diploma.
