Abstract

Five new species from oligotrophic forest and mountain lakes are described: Chrysolykos calceatus, Chrysolykos hamulatus, Chrysoikos complanatus, Pseudokephyrion gibbosum (all Chrysophyceae) and Tetraedriella patiens (Xanthophyceae). Some unusual species described earlier were also found in the lakes investigated: Bitrichia ollula, Pseudokephyrion angulosum and Palatinella cyrtophora. Finds of Kephyrion boreale with two flagella are reported. © 1978 The British Phycological Society.
