The problem in this research is how the students' ability to write short stories using audio drama media with the aim of explaining students' ability to write short stories using audio drama media. This research was conducted on June 13, 2022 – June 23, 2022, which is located in class XI SMA Negeri 6 Ternate City. The method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, tests, interviews, and documentation.Based on the results of the research that the researchers did, the researchers saw that the use of audio drama media in learning to write short stories could overcome students' difficulties when writing, this media was very helpful and facilitated the process of writing short stories. Of the 13 students, most of the students seemed to really listen to dialogue after dialogue contained in the audio. Students are also excited when writing short stories using this drama audio media because students better understand what things should be poured into writing. The use of audio drama media is very effective in getting students interested in writing short stories.
