Abstract

Goal Programming method is used as a technique for making decisions based on considerations of certain limitations to minimize deviations and maximize the objective function. Solutions from Goal Programming can be completed with the QM for Windows application. The results showed that the objective function of minimizing fertilizer costs had been achieved with the constraint function of the budgetary cost incurred for fertilizers. Classification of oil palm plantations based on age which is 0 - 2 years, 3 - 4 years, 5 - 8 years, and 9 - 10 years is based on the need of different doses of fertilizer in each age group. The types of fertilizers used by farmers in this study were Urea, RP (Rock Phospate), MOP (Murriate of Potash), and Kieserite. The fertilizer costs for oil palm plantations 5 - 8 years old and 9 - 10 years old can be minimized of IDR 563,556.00 and IDR 966,184.00 in.each application of fertilizer.
