Abstract
This case of mandibular osteomyelitis is reported because of its severity and the presence of multiple lytic bone cavities which completely healed following the use of hyperbaric oxygen (OHP). The patient had received no other systemic or local therapy for her disease after discontinuing OHP. OHP used as a modality of treatment in this case produced a favorable response in resolving the osteomyelitis and healing of the lytic bone cavities. OHP appears to have a definite place in the future management of patients with osteomyelitis.
