Visualization of the digital twin with ar

Abstract

For the transformation of industrial manufacturing, the integration of the real world and parallel replication in the digital world is an important requirement. Here, the concept of the digital twin is applied to represent physical objects digitally. Such a digital twin can provide relevant data to improve human-machine interaction between factory personnel, plants and workpieces and increase transparency on the shopfloor. In this paper a concept for the visualization of the digital twin using Augmented Reality is presented and evaluated.
