Youth labor Market Integration During a recession in Brazil

Abstract

This article describes the changes in youth labor market integration due to the sharp change in the economic conditions from 2015 onwards. It considers both quantitative aspects related to changes in the share of (un)employed and qualitative ones related to the type of occupations. Finally, it identifies the determinants for both dimensions of change by inspecting flows of young workers between different states of the labor market.
