Abstract
This reseaarch aims to reconstruct the new challenges of multicultural education and implementing multicultural Islamic education from an early age in the digital in Indonesia. Indonesia which is known as a multicultural country consisting of various ethnic groups, races, cultures and religions, certainly cannot escape the influence of today’s sophisticated technology. The rapid development of technology certainly affects all aspects in Indonesia both in terms of lifestyle communication and even education, especially in multicultural education. The method used in this study is the library research method, namely research conducted using data obtained from books, scientific papers, journals, and others. The theory used in this study is the theory of multicultural education from James A. Bank. The result of this study indicate that the rapid development of science and technology can become a new challenge for multicultural education in Indonesia, which can trigger conflict and others. If dont have tolerance and high awareness of the importance of tolerance for one another.
