Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the competence of teachers in developing and implementing digital learning media in the form of Kahoot and Powtoon as well as revealing student responses to these digital learning media through a school-based lesson study process. This type of research is qualitative research. The stages of the research carried out are preparation, implementation of lesson study and evaluation. The research subjects here are teachers of SMPN 16 Malang and students of SMPN 16 Malang. The result of the research is that the teacher has developed Powtoon to make presentation learning media on energy and Kahoot materials for the students' post-test process. The learning media is able to increase student interest in learning and increase student activity. Lesson study activities are able to provide good evaluations for teachers to improve the learning process. It can be concluded that teachers have good competence in developing digital learning media and lesson study is able to provide reflection to improve the learning process for the better for teachers.
