Use of a spreadsheet for Fowler-Nordheim equation calculations

Abstract

The calculations of the Fowler-Nordheim equations can be carried out using large spreadsheet of the type found as part of word-processor or office packages. The calculations can be repeated many times because the spreadsheet can carry out many evaluations in parallel. An advantage of the spreadsheet approach is its built-in trace facility since the results of each entered step in the calculation can be inspected.
