El destape del cartel de cine español. La nueva libertad sexual en la transición española

Abstract

This article, which summarizes the results of a larger work, explores the relationship between the movie poster and social change, focusing on the analysis of the first and not the second, so it is a communication and not a sociological study, looking for relationships that may occur between two options: use the poster as a reflection of existing social values and as a provocateur of social change. To do this we place our analysis in the Spanish transition period, historical moment of profound political, economic and social changes. It is clear that in our country, since the early seventies, still under Franco, it begins to show the political change that was coming, especially the official permissiveness towards a film that dares to raise issues previously untouchable, especially related with politics and sex. Franco's censors had silenced for many years the sexual desire and eroticism, but since the late sixties began to emerge a commercial film that shows a clear trend towards liberalization in some sexual themes.
