Abstract

Anticoagulant therapy is an important component of treatment of patients with prosthetic heart valves. The article contains consideration of specific problems of antithrombotic therapy in patients with various types of prostheses and its tactics in different clinical situations. In the absence of national recommendations on the use of anticoagulants in these patients the authors suggest schemes of management based on recent European and American guidelines.
