372: The Anova and Multiple Comparisons for Data with Heterogeneous Variances

Abstract

SUMMARY Satterthwaite's approximation for the distribution of a contrast on group means is ktnown to be robtust under heterogeneity of within group variances. By combiniiig orthonoimal contrasts, oine-way and two-way analysis of variance statistics are derived. For comparing several means a mtultiple comparisons test proce-dure is proposed.
