In this vision session, Robert McDonald, Jonathan Blackburn, and Bob McQuillan answered questions about the next generation of library management systems. They touched on some of the struggles that libraries face today, the expanding market for a variety of products and services to meet those challenges, and the need for standards to push toward greater interoperability. They envisioned a constantly changing future for workflow and suggested that future systems and products would allow libraries to customize the system to fit their own locally defined workflow. © The North American Serials Interest Group.
