Abstract

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems have become critical for companies to save a lot of time and money and connectivity more important than ever in the era of Industry 4.0. That’s why organizations are looking for integrated platforms that can simulate industrial traffic between different locations around the globe. The present work succeeded in simulating data and information traffic through SCADA systems, within the SAFEPIC – 19 project, carried out in different scenarios using SCADA controller simulators (“PLC ladder controller” emulators and communication using Modbus/TCP protocols), “Reconnaissance” attack simulators by scanning addresses and ports to discover vulnerable ports, “Command injection” attack simulators, “Denial of Service” attack simulators.
