Abstract
In a previous paper in this issue (Duymes and Capron, 2010), we have presented the French norms, psychometric qualities, specificity and sensibility of a parental questionnaire of child development {Child Development Inventory, CDI, Ireton, 1992), which has been used previously in several countries. Designed for children aged 15 to 72 months, this instrument allows for assessment in the domains of socialization, autonomy, fine or gross motor development, expressive and receptive language abilities and difficulties in learning about letters and numbers. The psychometric qualities of the instrument are satisfying for screening use and identical to those found in other countries. This paper presents the rationale for use and the manual.
