Abstract

The performance appraisal is a recurrent assessment of an employee's job-specific achievements according to the predetermined criteria and duties of the position. It pertains to the evaluation of the employee's subjective attributes including strengths and weaknesses, the perceived value in relation to the organization, and the potential for future development. Such assessment is a subject to the personal judgment and interpretation. It may be also called performance evaluation or performance review.
