Abstract

Background: Delirium, an acute disorder of attention, cognition and psychomotor activity , is common, often goes unrecognised and carries serious and costly implications in the older adult population. The objective of this study is to complete a systematic review and meta-analysis of the 4AT screening tool to determine its diagnostic accuracy in identifying older adults (≥ 65 years) with delirium.
