Abstract

*[The objective was verify the contamination of ants found in a city hospital Alfenas, MG. The specimens of ants were collected manually with the aid of sterile forceps & immediately placed in test tubes containing 5 ml of sterile saline. The main genera of ants were found Monomorium & Paratrechina. The main identified microorganisms, Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonie, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, & Staphylococcus aureus.]
