Abstract

Th is study aims to describe how energy subject is taught in 9th grades. The stu dy is designed as a descriptive e case study wi th the particip tion of 3 physics teachers an a d 85 students. Data were obtain ned through observation, interviews, and documents, and they were analyzed through descriptive analys is method. In t the observations s made at the p articipating sch hools, it was revealed that th he teaching pro ocess of energy subject was im mproved by gen neral lecturing and hence stu udents have inc correct or incomplete knowled ge on the topic.. In the study, it was determined that teaching of energy subject was enjoyable because it is mostly related to daily life and it includes iterpretation‐based questions; it was also determined, however, that students have difficulty comprehending the subject
