Abstract

This paper aims to explore the challenges and opportunities of smart city development in European cities. Through an analysis of the concept of smart cities, their characteristics, and their applications in different European contexts, the importance of smart city development for sustainable urban development in Europe is elucidated. Moreover, the paper discusses the potential challenges in smart city development, such as technological, privacy, and security concerns, and explores strategies to overcome these challenges to achieve smart and sustainable urban development in Europe.
