Abstract

The continuously increasing energy prices and the development of the technologies has made photovoltaic energy an important part of the contemporary energy mix. This also implies the need to provide adequate teaching methods and tools in high school and higher education. This study presents a concept for a virtual lab that offers both remote and simulated data, depending on the weather conditions. The paper presents the architecture of the suggested virtual lab, its use-case scenarios, a block-diagram with the main modules and their interaction, the operation algorithm for performing a virtual experiment as well as the client-server communication.
