Abstract

The Centre for Education Management and Administration at Sheffield Hallam University is at present piloting a teaching programme with two other European universities, one in the Netherlands, the other in Sweden. The authors briefly describe the programme, then reflect on the issues that this partnership has raised. They explore the nature of networking and the creation of opportunities, the emergent understanding of values and culture, and the stresses and strains of promoting unity through diversity. Their message throughout is thatthey are engaging in partnership, and developing awareness both within their own institution and across national boundaries. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
