Asymmetric heterogeneous catalytic hydrogenation, is it a useful tool for the synthetic organic chemist?

Abstract

The evaluation of different asymmetric hydrogenation methods is presented: the use of anchored chiral transition metal complexes, modified metal catalysts and diastereoselective reactions, partly with chiral synthones. Recent results and perspectives are summarized.
