Abstract
This article is a thorough review of dermabrasion procedure, its indications and contraindications, cosmetic and therapeutic benefits, special considerations, physician qualifications and skills, patient education, preoperative considerations, instrumentation, staffing, anesthesia, method and technologies, postoperative care, postoperative sequelae and their treatment, and adjunction procedures for achieving an optimal result.
