Abstract

The text presents a mapping in scientific articles that take a historical approach about Brazilian special education published between 2015 and 2020 and identified in the Capes Journal Portal, Google Scholar, and specialized journals. This paper contributes in general to the research fields of the History of Education and Special Education and, more specifically, with the histories of education policies, pedagogical practices, and teacher training. It offers a thematic itinerary by identifying, concentrating, categorizing, and systematizing the quantitative and qualitative data from 82 articles located, in addition to contributing to the circulation and dissemination of this knowledge. Among the challenges of research is its multi and interdisciplinary perspective.
