Abstract

Over the past few years, the construction industry has experienced significant development. One sign of its development is the implementation of Building Information Modeling-based applications in the planning, implementation, and pre-implementation processes. Unfortunately, not all construction implementers, such as contractors, have integrated this technology in Indonesia. As with the calculation of quantity take-off, the implementation sometimes uses manual methods by calculating parametric volumes based on 2D drawings. The purpose of this research is to implement a BIM-based application, namely Tekla structures, in modeling the structure of a building to obtain the quantity of modeling and then compare it with the results of manual method-based calculations. The research data used include Mutual check 100 documents as manual method-based quantity data, project asbuilt drawings as a reference for BIM modeling, and quantity volume of BIM modeling results as BIM-based quantity data. This research uses a quantitative method to find the difference and quantity deviation between manual and BIM methods. The result obtained is that the total difference in concrete material quantity is 1.289 m3 with a deviation of 0.343%. Then, for the total material difference, the quantity of reinforcing steel is 3541.947 kg with a deviation of 6.8964%. In both types of material, the quantity obtained from the calculation based on the manual method is greater than the calculation based on the BIM method.
