Abstract
Red River 1826 summer rape (Brassica napus L.) is the world's first Roundup Ready™ high erucic acid, low glucosinolate cultivar. It has an average 1 % yield advantage over Reston high erucic acid, low glucosinolate summer rape, is 39 g kg-1 higher in seed oil content than Reston, 13 g kg -1 higher in meal protein content than Reston, and is adapted to the southern B. napus growing regions of western Canada.
