Faktor-Faktor Penyebab Eksistensi Permainan Tradisional di Desa Nyangkringan

Abstract

In the midst of a very heavy current of globalization where all forms of entertainment are packaged in a modern and chic manner. One striking symptom that appeared in the last three decades in Indonesia is rampant in various forms of toys(toys)and games(games)coming from abroad. These flows flowed in the last decade, when there were large shops in several major cities in Indonesia, but specifically only selling children's toys, especially dolls of various characters in cartoons. The existence of traditional games in the village of Nyangkringan, Bantul district can be seen from villagers, ranging from children to adults, still playing traditional games in everyday life. The variety of traditional games played by the residents of Nyangkringan village in Bantul district are quite various, including Gobak sodor, Bekelan, Nekeran (kelereng), Jump rope, Dhelikan (hide and seek), Layangan, Engklek, Dakon, Jamuran, Gamparan. The causes of the existence of traditional games in Nyangkringan village are the role of parents, thrifty and practical, economical, cultural preservation, a cultural transformation from the old generation to the younger generation, benefits and positive influence on children's development and efforts and cooperation in preserving traditional games.
