Abstract

Photovoltaic solar energy is one of the renewable, clean, and inexhaustible sources of energy. It is applied considering the basic needs for its operation in rural areas, where the supply of electricity is limited, as well as water. The main objective is to analyze the performance of a photovoltaic solar energy pumping system. The results show that it is feasible to opt for a pumping system using this type of energy, based on its constant and high performance throughout the year. Therefore, these types of systems are recommended for family farming applications.
