A certain level of statistical literacy is regarded as baseline, and it is used by the people to orientate in the sheer amount of information that they face. The aim of this paper is to analyze the level of statistical literacy in future teachers, which has been determined based on a test with a number of tasks consisting of task solution, chart reading etc. The results of quantitative research implemented through a questionnaire showed a very low level of statistical literacy among the teacher prep students, with high school graduation and interest in statistics being the most important predictors.
