Biodiesel is a renewable and environmentally friendly fuel. Biodiesel is made from fossil fuels mixed with palm oil or Crude Palm Oil (CPO) which is processed into Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME). The use of CPO is inseparable from the abundant prices in Indonesia and the potential for increased production can still be done. This study focuses on the use of biodiesel in the Cat C15 Acert engine which has 356 - 363 hp at speeds of 1800 - 2100 rpm. Which in the world as a driver of various heavy equipment. Testing will be done using B0 (0% FAME content), B15 (15% FAME content), B20 (20% FAME content) and B30 (30% FAME content). The test results show that the biodiesel mixture is in accordance with existing fuel standards. Measurements based on biodiesel on the engine are shown through torque performance, power, Brake Thermal Efficiency (BTE) and Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) in good and efficient conditions. Whereas the exhaust emissions on the engine are C, CO and NOx which have no significant effect on CO which has a decrease in pure fuel. The recommended fuel to use is a mixture containing 30% biodiesel (B30).
