Abstract

The appllcation of graphitized carbón black (GCB) to the extraction of trace organlc pollutants from water Is studled. It Is observed that many classes of organlc substances are adsorbed and, In particular, that GCB Is a good material for the recovery of chlorinated pestlcides. AHhough the adsorbent efflclencles depend on the nature of other substances that are present In the water samples, GCB has proven to be more advantageous than Tenax for pesticide determinations. © 1980, American Chemical Society.
