Abstract

Article History: The modern era can change people's lifestyles, which is influentially affect's Bali's local culture. The role of parents is considered important, that parents are the closest environment of the child. This study aims to describe the role of parents in preserving local culture in early childhood. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews. The data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions that were studied using Miles and Huberman's theory. The results showed that the role of parents is important' because it has a major influence on the preservation of local Bali culture in early childhood. Parents introduce, instill, and cultivate an attitude of loving local Balinese culture from an early age through daily habituation.
